NPA STATE REPRESENTATIVE
Bill Burnside
Why I Care)
I saw there was a need for an active statewide Florida NPA State Representative. I was appointed by the past NPA President George Tyndall.
Why did I volunteer?
Being a member of the NPA, I wanted to support our association, and especially the members in my state
My main reason is to support my state in an active NPA role. To get out there and talk about the NPA at local shows. Many think the NPA exists only in name, but not in state action.
To publicize the NPA at shows with a table of information and an NPA banner.
To promote the pigeon hobby and be available to help all who need some type of informational assistance.
To present Award certificates from the NPA for recognized show Champion birds etc.
To increase membership in our organization.

Duties of State Representatives
Section 1: The State Representative or Representatives shall represent the National Pigeon Association in his/her state.
He shall encourage and promote the holding of one annual NPA sponsored pigeon show in his/her state and, in cooperation with the District Director, decide when and where the show shall be held and assist in arranging of all details.
It also shall be his/her
duty to contact as many pigeon fanciers as possible to create greater
interest in pigeons and the National Pigeon Association in his state.

State representative are most important in my view. You are at the grass roots level, where the average fancier attends his or her shows. This is the place where you can get out, spread the word around about the NPA, and what we stand for in our wonderful hobby.
My experiences as an NPA State Representative for Florida has been very enjoyable, as it can be for you.
BE A STATE REPRESENTATIVE; SUPPORT YOUR HOBBY, YOUR FELLOW FANCIERS AND YOUR STATE. CONTACT YOUR STATE NPA DIRECTOR AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
